The Centering Gods have heard us! A wonderfully-centered, pack-fresh Ozzie Smith rookie card was pulled from 1979 O-Pee-Chee by Vintage Breaks.

Charlie G asked the Centering Gods, and they delivered. While breaking a pack of 1979 OPC for Steve Allen, Charlie saw the back of Ozzie Smith's rookie card. Please, please, Sir Charles asked. Take a look at this STUNNING card:

 

 

 

This is the nicest Ozzie Smith rookie card we've pulled! This HOF rookie is going to a great home; enjoy this one, Steve.

Checking the PSA pop report, only TWO 1979 OPC Ozzie Smith rookie cards have been graded PSA 10. There are 38 PSA 9 without a qualifier and 169 on the PSA 8 side without a qualifier. We hope this card comes back a 9 or maybe even a 10.

Ozzie Smith is a first-ballot Hall of Famer (2002). The Wizard made 15 All-Star teams, won 13 Gold Glove awards, and won the 1982 World Series with the Cardinals. Few players have flashed more leather at Shortstop than Ozzie!
