Pat Riley rookie card AND a card with THREE Hall of Famers? That's the heat we pulled pack fresh from a 1970 Topps basketball wax pack during the Vintage Breaks card breaks.
What a night in our live stream! We broke a pack of 1970 Topps basketball cards and pulled multiple Hall of Famers. The 1970 Topps cards are much bigger than the standard cards you pull today from a product such as Panini Prizm. Cards today are 2.5"x3.5". However, back in 1970, Topps produced these cards coming in at 2.5" by 4-11/16"! Each cad is big and beautiful The set consists of 175 cards, and several key cards from NBA history are in the set. Could we pull all-time greats? We sure did!

For "Chef" Ted, a Pat Riley rookie card! You recognize Riley as one of the greatest coaches in the history of basketball. At the helm, Riley led the Los Angels Lakers to four NBA Championships, and the Miami Heat to a Championship. The three-time Coach of the Year had skills on the court, too. Riley led his 1966 Kentucky college team to the NCAA title game and won an NBA Championship with the 1972 Lakers. Riley's rookie card is in the 1970 Topps set and is now in the hands of Chef Ted after pulled this beauty! Would you recognize Riley on his Portland Trail Blazers uni?
If a card can top the Pat Riley, Todd M now owns it! Card #1 from the set is highly coveted and is filled with THREE Hall of Famers. Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar), Jerry West, and Elvin Hayes makeup the Scoring Leaders card. Abudl-Jabbar's accolades can take up this entire page. A six-time Champion in the NBA, a six-time MVP, and 19-time All-Star was the all-time leading scorer when Abdul-Jabbar retired. This came after winning three NCAA Championships. Jerry West is an NBA Champion, a 14-time All-Star, and was so good at basketball, the NBA decided to make him the logo! If you look at the NBA log, the silhouette is of West. Elvin Hayes rounds out the Hall of Fame trio. Hayes won an NBA Championship, made 12 All-Star teams, and is inducted in both the NBA and College Hall of Fame!
