Rare 1935 Goudey Uncut Sheet with Babe Ruth Discovered in Old Trunk

An UNCUT sheet of 1935 Goudey baseball cards including BABE RUTH was discovered in an old trunk. Our sister company, Just Collect, brokered the deal for this ultra-rare, historic piece live at Fanatics Fest.

While at Fanatics Fest in NYC, our sister company, Just Collect, was set up to buy and sell vintage card collections. Just Collect has purchased some of the biggest, and rarest collections in the world including a collection of 1914 Cracker Jack cards sporting a Shoeless Joe Jackson, complete sets of basketball cards including 1948 Bowman Basketball with George Mikan's rookie card, and The Fairy Godmother Collection  highlighted by the 1909-1911 T206 Eddie Plank card. One of the biggest discoveries Just Collect proudly purchased was The Arizona Goudey Find of 800 1930's Goudey cards with 22 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig cards.

A gentleman named Robert from Long Island saw the display of vintage cards at the Just Collect booth and knew he stopped by the right place. From his envelope, Robert pulled out an UNCUT SHEET of 1935 Goudey baseball cards. When Goudey designed their 1935 set, they created a card 2-3/8” by 2-7/8” in size with four players on one card. The 4-on-1 set officially named R321, were all intact on the original sheet! Best of all: this sheet features BABE RUTH. How did Robert obtain one of the greatest finds our hobby has seen? Robert paid $75 for the old trunk. Say that out loud again - $75. The American dream. 

Just Collect paid Robert much, much more than $75 and sent him a wire transfer while he was at the booth! This uncut sheet has already found a new home already! Just Collect helped Robert broker a deal with private sale in collaboration with our friend Brian Dwyer at REA Auctions.
